It's International #BDSM Day

Happy International BDSM Day! International BDSM day was created in 2003 by a BDSM Club in Barcelona called Rosa5 and has been celebrated every year since.  July 24 was chosen because of the date 24/7 (Yes, I use the dd/mm/yy method)

It's time to share your knowledge and your stories with others :-)

I've spoken about my love of BSDM romance before on this blog. If you've missed it you can read it HERE.

There's been a lot of hype surrounding bondage and submission since the bestseller lists were flooded with 50 Shades of everything.  I haven't read any of the books, but I can only say that raising awareness of this genre is a good thing. If it encourages others to read other BDSM and erotic romance books, then that's fantastic!

I'm going to settle in to read a fantastic BDSM romance, and  then I might remind my dh what day it is LOL

How are you going to celebrate the day?

I celebrated by writing a few more pages of my erotic romance. It's a red hot menage featuring two alpha heroes and one sassy heroine--spiced with a lash of BDSM.

Sounds great Fe. I can't wait to read it! I mean, that lash is such an essential ingredient -)

Happy International BDSM Day. I am really new to the genre. But so far I love. And yes, Fifty shades got me into it. I love the books. I read haven of obedience by Marina Anderson yest. That was quite good.

Going to look up your books :)

Well how convenient I just happen to be on rereads of both Cherise Sinclair’s To Command and Collar AND Bianca Sommerland’s Defensive Zone. Two BDSM books for the day!

Happy International BDSM Day everyone! I never even knew this day existed until now, so I guess I'm getting a bit of a late start in the celebrating. But I did finish a lovely BDSM book by Michele L. Montgomery that gave me a nice little smile and sigh at the end, and wicked ideas of what I'd like to do tonight! What I love most about the BDSM world is that the possibilities are endless. Always a new adventure in and out of the bedroom :) Hope everyone else enjoys their day as much as I plan to!!

Hi Siobhan - It's a very exciting genre isn't it? I haven't read Marina Anderson - must check her out.

Hi Basia - oh I LOVE those books! It sounds like a good day surrounded by BDSM :-)

Hi Nikki - I always say romance readers have better sex lives! Thanks for dropping by!

Hi Maggie! Happy BDSM Day to you!

I'm not sure how to celebrate...might ask my husband that one.

On twitter I'm discussing pink floggers and a paddle that leaves the word WRITE! on my co-author Leia Shaw's ass for starters though. She says she has writers block but it won't be for long if she lets me 'help' her

Hi Cari
I need one of those paddles too...for me!
Although it's not block so much, but too much to do and not enough time!
Plus having the flu for 3 weeks on and off.
But a nice little spanking might do the trick LOL
