Hi Maggie!

When it comes to blogs i like to see a sense of humor and a personal touch. I want to know something about the person who is writing the blog. What keeps me coming back? Wit and humor.

Congrats on the new blog, Maggie! I like to see things that allow me to know the blogger as a person; not just some entity out in cyberspace. Passions and peeves are important to me. From an author's blog, I like to find out what's new. Is there a book signing I might attend? A new story in the works? All this, will entice me to return and a good dash of humor will pretty much cinch it.

Cool! I think we're all on the same page here...isn't that great?

Congratulations on your new blog, Maggie! I like to see new books by different authors featured, along with a short blurb or excerpt about it and maybe a little information about the author.

Rhonda :-)

Hi Maggie,

I don't read blogs too often. I don't keep a list of blogs to read, I have a few in my favourites list, but what brings me to a blog is when the author on her group or newsletter says that she's blogged, or put up a hottie *g* and included the link in the mail, so while I'm reading the mail, I'll click on the link and take a look.

OH, and this is not for your contest, I already have the book...*g*

I wish I enjoyed blogging. As for reading blogs, it usually takes a bit of prompting to remind me to return. So nudge me now and again and I'll keep coming back. :)

Thanks for posting Rhonda!

Valerie...I plan on some piccies that are right up your alley! And I hope you enjoyed TMP!

KyAnn - yes, prompting is the name of the game I think. It is another time eater upperer...okay, so that isn't a word, but you get the picture don't you. I certainly plan on reminding people to come when I do post something.

One of the great joys of writing for me is having someone read it...

Thanks everyone...these comments are great!

Congrats on the bew blog, Maggie, and yes it is pretty!
I guess I like a blog to be a reflection of the person who writes it. With a bit of luck their writing voice will come through, and help me decide if I'll like their books.
Wit and humour are great if they come naturally.

I love to see something fun and interesting we might normally get from someone ... a bit of personal slice of life type thing or something that happened over a weekend and is worth mentioning or even crowing about something great happening with you too. Anyway fun works also anything serious that will affect you also so it tells us to let you be and wish you well until whatever it is is passed maybe. Could be a computer going down and offline or something else. So good or bad anything will work just even a daily anecdote will do. Hope that helps.

I like blogs to contain a bit of what makes a person tick. I like to hear about their lives and what is the driving force behind them.
Some humor and even some ranting is okay. Just want to contain that personnal touch and some fun not all business.

Hello Maggie.

You've made a great beginning with your blog. Some of the blogs I like best come across as "real". I get a sense of the person behind the pen (so to speak) and I'm not talking about giving a lot of personal information. I like to feel like the person running the blog believes in what they're talking about, whether I agree or not.

I like fun things on blogs. With authors, I love special excerpts just for the blog readers who are faithful. Oh, and advance news of upcoming books.

As I said, you've made a great start. I look forward to more in the future!

Hugs,
Robin S.

I like to read about writing updates and something personal. I like to read about things that say something about a person's personality.
Congrats on the new release!

Hi Maggie,
Wecome to the blogsphere!
I read blogs that show a persons personality too, I've found many new authors just by reading their blogs. You can also do character entries so readers get to know your heroes and heroines better.
Hugs, Danette

Welcome to Blogger, Maggie! I prefer it myself. I like free stories, sneak peeks, humour on blogs and of course contests. I'm saddened to hear about Triskelion and will say a prayer for all the affected authors. May better things come along soon.
