Especially the people, lovers and friends who love us.
I love the excerpt. Definitely a book I a buying.
I am at LAST coming into my own and realising I have always been wonderful. My DH still says I'm the sexiest woman he has ever known, but my weight has always been an issue and therefore my self confidence has continued to suffer. I could totally relate to how Reagan felt when standing helpless in front of her men and unable to lift her hands to cover herself. Thank you Fiona, for writing about real women, and their insecurities.kazza16https://www.blogger.com/profile/16960131444433236086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3139768398771494132.post-31231483383359808562014-01-29T16:30:02.321+11:002014-01-29T16:30:02.321+11:00Great excerpt - everything you wrote is so true - ...Great excerpt - everything you wrote is so true - even more so when one is older and facing starting out in life again - the message 'step up and own it' is a hard one to follow through with but if we don't - life will pass us all byNatasha Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18023468137458703051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3139768398771494132.post-22523522842705632082014-01-29T15:49:04.472+11:002014-01-29T15:49:04.472+11:00Fiona, well said! Sometimes I still have moments of insecurity, even though my partner and I have been together for almost 39 years.
He sees me so differently to how I see myself. He has seen me through big and small and all he worries about is my health, he loves me even during the times I don't love myself.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06826697625230454599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3139768398771494132.post-2448781797716789582014-01-29T14:54:59.119+11:002014-01-29T14:54:59.119+11:00Loved the excerpt!!

Numerous times in my life I have been concerned about getting naked in front of anyone, especially a man.
While I am not necessarily happy about being slightly overweight, I am comfortable with my hubby. And, he thinks I'm sexy regardless. ;)
I notice it with children and them becoming obsessed with how much they weigh, both boys and girls. I try to be careful with what I say around them, so they don't worry about those things.
I believe it self images start a very young age.
Thank you so much for sharing, Fiona! Congrats on your recent release!
trb0917 at gmail dot comTina Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11301876611384496359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3139768398771494132.post-31825888793245149202014-01-29T11:00:20.222+11:002014-01-29T11:00:20.222+11:00Seriously I just had an epiphany. I know what you wrote should have been common sense but for the first time I think it truly clicked, set in, whatever that I am letting others define me. It stops now. Ok I will try to stop it now but years of in or rev thinking isn't going away immediately. But I will work on it. Thanks Fiona. Well done. Well done.
